Bell Security and Risk Limited

Carbon Reduction Commitment and Baseline Plan

1. Commitment

Bell Security and Risk Limited is committed to reducing avoidable greenhouse-gas emissions and supporting the United Kingdom’s net-zero transition. This plan is proportionate to a new, owner-led service business and will be updated as reliable activity data becomes available.

2. Baseline Position

No emissions baseline from another legal entity is adopted. The first formal baseline will cover the first complete twelve-month operating period and will record, where material, fuel and vehicle use, purchased energy, business travel, waste and significant purchased goods or services.

3. Initial Objectives

The Business will avoid unnecessary travel, plan efficient routes, use remote meetings where suitable, select energy-efficient equipment, minimise printing and waste, reuse or recycle materials where practicable and consider environmental performance when selecting suppliers.

4. Transport and Deployment

Contract planning will consider local resourcing, public transport, vehicle sharing and lower-emission vehicles where safe, practical and commercially reasonable. Emergency and operational effectiveness will not be compromised by environmental measures.

5. Procurement and Waste

Purchases will be proportionate and durable. Electronic records will be preferred where lawful and operationally suitable. Batteries, electronics, confidential waste and hazardous materials will be handled through appropriate authorised routes.

6. Measurement and Targets

After the first baseline is established, Nathan Bell will set measurable reduction targets supported by evidence. Claims will distinguish absolute emissions, intensity measures, avoided emissions and any verified offsets.

7. Governance and Reporting

Nathan Bell is responsible for collecting available data, reviewing progress and approving public claims. Carbon figures will not be published or used in tenders unless the methodology and evidence can be substantiated.

8. Review

This plan will be reviewed annually and after material changes to premises, fleet, staffing, contract volume or reporting requirements.
