Modern Slavery Awareness and Reporting Policy
1. Purpose
This onboarding policy explains the conduct expected from anyone working for or representing Bell Security and Risk Limited in preventing modern slavery, human trafficking and labour exploitation.
2. Scope
It applies to Nathan Bell, employees, workers, agency personnel, subcontractors, consultants, suppliers and representatives.
3. Prohibited Conduct
No person may use, arrange, ignore or benefit from forced labour, trafficking, debt bondage, unlawful child labour, document retention, threats, coercion, recruitment-fee abuse or restriction of a worker’s freedom.
4. Warning Signs
Warning signs may include fear of speaking, control by another person, withheld pay or documents, excessive deductions, overcrowded employer-controlled accommodation, unexplained transport, debt, threats, excessive hours or inconsistent identity and employment information.
5. Duty to Report
Any concern must be reported immediately to Nathan Bell at contact@nsb-global.org. Do not confront a suspected exploiter where this could increase danger. In an emergency call 999. Where internal reporting is unsafe, contact the police, a client safeguarding contact, a regulator or the Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline.
6. Protection and Cooperation
A person raising a genuine concern will not be retaliated against. Everyone must cooperate with proportionate checks and investigations, protect evidence and maintain confidentiality.
7. Breaches
Employees may face disciplinary action. Workers, subcontractors or suppliers may be removed or terminated. Serious concerns may be referred to the police, regulators or safeguarding authorities.
8. Confirmation
By signing the policy acknowledgement, the individual confirms that they understand the warning signs, reporting route and prohibition on exploitation.
