Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

1. Policy Statement

Bell Security and Risk Limited is committed to equal opportunity, dignity and inclusion. Unlawful discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, victimisation and retaliation are prohibited.

2. Scope

This policy applies to Nathan Bell and to applicants, employees, workers, agency personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, clients and service users in recruitment, selection, pay, deployment, training, conduct, service delivery and termination.

3. Protected Characteristics

Decisions must not be unlawfully influenced by age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. Other irrelevant personal characteristics must also not be used unfairly.

4. Responsibilities

Nathan Bell is responsible for fair systems and for addressing concerns. Everyone representing the Business must treat others with dignity, make reasonable adjustments where required, follow client equality arrangements and challenge or report inappropriate conduct.

5. Recruitment and Work Allocation

Requirements must be objectively justified and related to the role. Selection, vetting, training and deployment decisions will be evidence-based and documented. Equality-monitoring information, where collected, will be voluntary, separated from decisions and handled lawfully.

6. Reasonable Adjustments and Accessibility

Requests relating to disability, communication, religion, pregnancy or other needs will be considered promptly and confidentially. Adjustments will be agreed where reasonable, taking account of safety and the essential requirements of the assignment.

7. Reporting and Investigation

Where the concern involves Nathan Bell, an independent HR adviser or appropriate client representative may be asked to review it. Complaints will be handled fairly, confidentially and without retaliation.

8. Breaches and Review

Employees may be managed under the disciplinary procedure; workers and subcontractors under their contract. This policy will be reviewed annually and after significant complaints, legal changes or evidence of unequal outcomes.
